Trump’s “Triumphal Arch” sparks criticism

Rising over 76 metres, the proposed gold-accented giant victory arch in Washington DC, dubbed by some the “Arc de Trump,” is drawing backlash from critics who call it a monument to presidential vanity

Height: 76.2 metres, or 250 feet, to celebrate America’s 250 years

Arch’s height has raised concerns, given location in one of country’s busiest airspaces

Critics say arch would obstruct view between Arlington cemetery and Lincoln Memorial, which symbolises country’s reunification after Civil War
