UK sets out defence spending boost

Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he will increase annual defence
spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027 and set a target of 3% in the
next parliament – a level not seen since the 1990s


Starmer says military boost will
be funded by cutting foreign aid
budget from 0.5% to 0.3% of GDP
