These are restricted to those with tickets for ceremony and others going to their hotel or home Blue: Traffic restrictions. Zone subject to random checks Opening Ceremony: To be held in centre of Paris along River Seine. Total of 10,500 athletes representing 206 countries will participate in six-kilometre parade of 94 boats along Seine. Around 326,000 spectators, 120 heads of state, officials, support staff and 1.5 billion TV and online viewers will watch ceremony Security: 45,000 troops, police and gendarmes, including 2,500 foreign police, will be deployed. High risk of Islamist terror attacks at fan zones, queues outside venues, hotels, restaurants and transport hubs Cybersecurity: State-sponsored threats range from espionage and disruptive operations to financially motivated attacks.
