Fairphone, makers of repairable smartphones, have launched Fairbuds wireless earphones with replaceable batteries – an environmentally friendlier alternative to offerings from Apple and Samsung

Replaceable battery: 6-hour listening time

Fairbuds: Active noise cancelling titanium drivers. Can connect to multiple devices at once

Battery cover: Rubber gasket

Protection: Shielded against dust and liquid splashes (IP54 rating)
       
How they look: Similar in size to Samsung Galaxy Buds FE

Charging case: Designed to come apart easily for repair

Replaceable battery: 500mAh cell supplies earbuds with up to 20 hours of recharge

USB-C port: To charge case battery
    
Made from 30% recycled plastic

Access: Charging case can be opened for repair by removing single philips screw

Wireless earbuds from likes of Apple (AirPods pictured) and Samsung are fragile, easily lost and prone to battery failure – whereupon units are usually discarded due to extreme difficulty repairing them
