Oscar Pistorius to be freed on parole

Former Paralympian Oscar “Blade Runner” Pistorius is to be freed from jail on parole, nearly 11 years after murdering his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day, 2013

2 Pistorius: He heard noise in bathroom and thought it was intruder. He took 9mm pistol from under bed and shouted to Steenkamp to call police. He said room was pitch dark and he thought Steenkamp was in bed
      
3 Pistorius: He saw open window, thought intruder was in toilet and fired through door Prosecutors: He knew Steenkamp was in toilet. Four shots were fired, hitting Steenkamp three times.

5 Pistorius: He put on his prosthetic legs, turned on light and broke down toilet door with cricket bat, before carrying Steenkamp downstairs to seek medical help
