Israel and Hamas agree truce deal

Israel and Hamas have agreed to a four-day halt in their devastating war in Gaza and the release of dozens of hostages held by the militant group in exchange for Palestinian prisoners


TERMS OF ISRAEL-HAMAS DEAL
 
Hostages: Hamas to release 50 women and children over four days at rate of at least 10 per day

Prisoners: Israel to release 150 Palestinian women and children from Israeli jails. First prisoners released when first batch of Israeli hostages is freed

Truce extension: Fighting paused for additional day for every 10 further hostages freed from Gaza

Fighting: Temporary halt. Israel to stop all air sorties over southern Gaza and cease flights over north for six hours per day

Aid: 200-300 trucks will enter Gaza each day, including fuel
