Economy minister Sergio Massa defied expectations to lead Argentina’s presidential election, putting him on course for a run-off contest with far-right candidate Javier Milei

Javier Milei, 52 Liberty Advances (far-right)

Patricia Bullrich, 67 Together for Change (centre-right)

Sergio Massa 9,645,983 votes 36.68% 

Javier Milei  7,884,336 votes 29.98%

Patricia Bullrich 6,267,152 votes 23.83%

Other candidates 2,494,247 votes  9.48%

Turnout: 77,65% 
98,51% of vote counted
