Alberto Fujimori (1990-2000) 
Resigned/impeached. Serving prison sentence for human rights violations and corruption
   
Alejandro Toledo (2001-06)
Facing extradition to Peru from U.S. for allegedly receiving bribes from Brazilian construction firm Odebrecht
     
Alan Garcia (1985-90/2006-11) 
Committed suicide in 2019 as police arrived to arrest him in connection with Odebrecht probe
   
Ollanta Humala (2011-16) 
Awaiting trial for allegedly receiving $3 million from Odebrecht during 2011 election campaign
     
Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (2016-18) 
Resigned in 2018 on eve of second impeachment vote over Odebrecht allegations
   
Martin Vizcarra (2018-20) 
Impeached on Nov 9 over allegations he handed out government contracts in return for bribes
     
Manuel Merino (Nov 10-15, 2020) 
Former head of Congress, resigned following days of street protests over Vizcarra’s removal
   
Pedro Castillo (Jul 2021-Dec 2022) 
Ousted in third impeachment trial on grounds of “moral incapacity” – then detained and accused of rebellion
