A Dutch firm is bringing to market the world’s first production-ready solar-powered car, the Lightyear 0, if you have $263,000 to hand

Solar power: 5m2 of high-efficiency silicon solar cells across bonnet, roof and tailgate provide enough charge for range of 70km per day*

Long-range: Can also be charged conventionally, offering total range of more than 700km on single charge
