UK: Red, amber and green lists cover 227 countries: British and Irish citizens or UK residents who have visited red or amber countries must quarantine and take Covid tests. Green countries require test only, within two days of arrival

GERMANY: Visitors from UK need essential reason for travel, negative Covid test no older than 48 hours and will undergo two-week quarantine

FRANCE: Valid reason for travel, mandatory negative PCR test, and quarantine for visitors from 16 countries. EU and eight other European countries only need negative PCR test

ITALY: Arrivals from most of EU, UK, Switzerland, Israel need certificate showing negative test 48 hours before arrival. 10-day quarantine for visitors from Japan, Canada and U.S.

SPAIN: No restrictions for people vaccinated with EU-WHO approved shots from June 7. Tourists from Japan, Australia, China, Hong Kong and UK can enter without PCR test

PORTUGAL: Tourists from UK, EU and Schengen Area countries must present proof of negative test, carried out 72 hours before arrival

GREECE: Mandatory for all tourists, including children over age five, to have negative PCR certificate for test taken no later than 72 hours before arrival. Test not required for those who have completed course of vaccination
