Catalan separatists increase majority

Pro-independence parties in Catalonia increased their majority in regional elections but the Socialists, who support the union with Spain, took the largest individual share of the vote
  

Separatist parties took over 50% for first time, winning 51% – up from 47.5% in 2017 
They now hold 74 of 135 seats in parliament – increase of four

Far-right Vox party outperformed conservative rivals – PP and Cs – to win first seats in parliament
