†Includes 1965 pilot episode “The Cage” featuring Captain Pike, rather than Kirk. Rejected by network, a second pilot was commissioned which would become “Where No Man Has Gone Before” – Episode 3 from Season 1 of Original Series. “The Cage” did not air until 1988 after lost footage was rediscovered and is inspiration for Pike’s appearance in Discovery. Following fan demand, Pike now getting his own show – Strange New Worlds
