Disney+ European launch date revealed

New streaming service Disney+ is launching on March 24 in the UK, Ireland, France, 
Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland


Subscription pricing confirmed as: 
€6.99/£5.99 per month, or
€69.99/£59.99 per year if paid in advance


Service built around Disney’s main studios, including: Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, National Geographic, and select films from 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Touchstone Pictures


Nov 12, 2019: Disney+ launches in United States and Canada (becomes most downloaded
app) and Netherlands, where streaming technology is tested
