Irish passport applications from UK soar

The number of British applications for an Irish passport has more than doubled since the Brexit referendum in June 2016

Anybody born in Irish Republic or Northern Ireland, or with Irish parent or grandparent, is entitled to Irish passport – around six million British citizens eligible. Dual citizenship permitted
