Sep 29: Khashoggi flies to London to speak at conference, returning on October 1

Oct 2, 3:13am: Gulfstream jet carrying nine Saudi officials – including forensic expert – flies into Atatürk Airport from Riyadh. Saudis check into two hotels near consulate, booking rooms for three nights – but depart later same day

1:14pm: Khashoggi enters consulate after giving his two cellphones to Cengiz, telling her
to get help if he does not reappear

4:00pm: Six vehicles leave consulate. Two stop for four hours at Saudi consul’s residence

10:46pm: First plane departs, stopping in Dubai en route to Riyadh

5:15pm: Second plane carrying six Saudi officials arrives in Istanbul. Plane departs at 6:20pm, stopping in Cairo before returning to Riyadh

Oct 3: Cengiz calls police after waiting at consulate for 11 hours. Turkish authorities report Khashoggi missing
