Honda’s NSX hybrid supercar

Honda’s Acura NSX combines internal combustion and electric thrust for blistering off-the-line starts, a top speed of over 300km/h and a choice of drive modes, from Quiet to Sport, Sport-Plus and Track

Powertrain: Combines twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with three electric motors for totals of 439kW of power and 646Nm of torque

Electric motors: 35.6kW motor between V6 and nine-speed twin-clutch gearbox adds extra power to rear wheels – also acts as starter motor

Twin 27.2kW e-motors drive front wheels
Wheelbase: 2,630mm

Torque vectoring: Shifts power between wheels, according to which has most grip, to deliver best handling

MR dampers: Magnetorheological dampers respond to road more than 1,000 times per second

Launch control: Select Track mode, engage brakes. Press throttle, engine revs to 2,250rpm. Release brakes – NSX sprints to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds and hits 300km/h 29 seconds later
