Kalashnikov develops SVCh sniper rifle Russia’s Kalashnikov Group has unveiled the Chukavin SVCh family of semi-automatic sniper rifles, designed to engage individual targets at a range of up to 1,500 metres, depending on the round Chukavin SVCh 7.62mm, semi-automatic, gas operated Barrel: Cold hammer forged to increase density of steel, making it stronger and more rigid. Length: 410mm Picatinny Rail: Full length rail integrated for sighting systems Minutes-of-Angle: SVCh has accuracy of 1 MOA (26-27mm) at distance of 100 metres Buttstock: Collapsible, with adjustable cheek riser. Stock is in line with receiver and barrel to minimize muzzle rise Folding bipod: Fitted to lower Picatinny Rail Dragunov SVD magazine: SVCh can be chambered for 7.62x54Rmm, 7.62×51mm NATO or .338 Lapua Magnum cartridges.
