Swimmers perform one technical routine (based on list of compulsory moves)and one free routine in both duet and team events (eight swimmers per team)

Pool: Depth 3m. Fitted with speakers so swimmers can keep time with music while underwater

Scoring Three panels of five judges assess technical and artistic abilities. Highest and lowest marks are discarded and remainder added together to give final score for routine
