France regional elections

Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Front has made record gains,
leading in six of France’s 13 regions. Former president Nicolas
Sarkozy’s centre-right Republicans are ahead in four regions while
President François Hollande’s Socialists are ahead in three

National Front 28.1%
Republicans 27.4%
Socialists 24.5%

Result with 95% of ballots counted, run-offs will be held on December 13
