All rights reserved MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Ethan Hunt and his team of IMF agents are back to save the world from the latest madman on the run, Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott), an ex-agent who gets his hands on a vicious biological weapon and is looking to cash in by selling it to the highest bidder. The relationship between Hunt (Tom Cruise) and Ambrose is reminiscent of that between Bond and Trevelyan in GoldenEye. There are more Bond similarities as Ethan develops his relationships with the ladies as well as delivering the odd Bond-like one-liner. Hunt has a knack of attracting deviant females, and in the sequel itÕs no different. In order to catch Ambrose, Hunt enlists the services of female super-thief, Nyah (Thandie Newton). Their exchanges are witty with a sexual undercurrent. Before long, they develop a deeper relationship and HuntÕs desire to keep Nyah from harmÕs way throws his personal safety into jeopardy. Anthony HopkinsÕ character, Swanbeck, replaces Jon VoightÕs Jim Phelps as the new chief of the IMF, coming across as a veteran spy who knows what Hunt has to go through, but isnÕt willing to take the risks. Ving RhamesÕ computer-savvy Luther returns to aid Ethan Hunt once again. But Ethan is the one who does the running, jumping, fighting, and other Impossible stuff for the IMF team while Luther sits back and works a lap-top. The film starts with a bang and finishes with one long action sequence where director John WooÕs talents are most prominently displayed. /ENDS Sources: www.imdb.com, Variety Release dates May 24: United States June 1: Australia June 22: Hong Kong July 6: Germany July 6: Hungary July 6: Netherlands July 7: Denmark July 7: Italy July 7: Norway July 7: UK July 8: Japan July 14: Portugal July 26: Belgium July 26: France
