“Erin Brockovich” – a tale of a brassy whistle-blower – starring Hollywood’s highest-paid actress, Julia Roberts, grossed around $10 million over the weekend to come in at No. 2 at the box office.

The movie is based on the true exploits of a single mother who gets a job at a law firm and stumbles upon a case of water contamination by a water utility, winning a record $333 million settlement for the victims.
