After years of fruitless searching, British archaelogists Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered the almost intact tomb of the Pharoah Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, Egypt, in 1922. The first men to set eyes on the fabulous treasures since the tomb was sealed around 1350BC, Carnarvon’s death soon afterwards contributed to the legend of “Tutankhamun’s Curse”
