Immediately installed as 2/1 favourite by bookmakers, Daylami could also be joined in SundayÕs line-up by last yearÔs Epsom Derby winner and Godolphin stable-companion High-Rise. Other possibilities beckon for High-Rise including the Champion Stakes (Newmarket), Canadian International, BreedersÕ Cup Turf (USA), and Japan Cup. A comfortable winner of LeopardstownÕs Irish Champion Stakes earlier this month, DaylamiÕs entry for the Prix de lÕArc line-up had looked doubtful as he currently heads the points table in the World Series (the Prix de lÕArc does not form part of the series this season) and connections would dearly love to ultimately win that coveted World Prize. But the Godolphin decision makers are also confident Daylami is back to 100 per cent after his easy Irish victory and ready to take in SundayÕs top all-age prize. Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: ÔDaylami will run in lÕArc and I think heÕs got a great chance. This year weÕve spaced his races and not travelled him so extensively, and he will still be well-poised for the other World Series races. We will decide which one to go for after lÕArc.Õ Jockey Frankie Dettori declared himself delighted by the news of DaylamiÕs participation, saying: ÔHeÕs a superstar horse in a superstar race. I predict there wonÕt be more than 14 runners with three good horses like Montjue, El Condor Pasa, and Daylami frightening off the others./ENDS
