The lavish remake of ÔDeath Takes a HolidayÕ, by director Martin Brest, is due for release next month. Pitt has also secured a role in ÔThe Fight ClubÕ, scheduled to hit our screens in 1999. The former Missouri choirboyÕs rise to fame as a delectable hunk was cemented after he played a horny hitchiker in the 1991 hit ÔThelma and LouiseÕ. It was the first time that PittÕs abdominals had been properly lighted and Hollywood Ð and moviegoers Ð sat up and took notice. He scored his first critical acclaim and Oscar nomination in the role of a mental patient in Terry GilliamÕs ÔTwelve MonkeysÕ. However many believe his best performance yet was as Austrian traveller Heinrich Harrar in ÔSeven Years in TibetÕ.
