LONDON, December 22, Graphic News: HOLLYWOODÕS most popular funnyman, Robin Williams, tackles the sombre subject of the afterlife in ÔWhat Dreams May ComeÕ. Due for release on Boxing Day, the movie tells the story of a man killed in an car accident, who searches for his wife in the afterlife. Williams is also set to star in ÔThe InterpreterÕ, where he takes on an interpreting job and winds up mediating an international crisis. Pulling double duty as a producer and star, he will then tackle the cyberthriller ÔRim and Damien of MolokaiÕ, the true s tory of a Belgian priest who tended to members of a Hawaiian leper colony in the late 1800s. WilliamsÕ comic gifts catapulted him to stardom after ÔGood Morning VietnamÕ, which earned him an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe Award in 1987. His recent string of comedy hits include ÔThe BirdcageÕ, ÔJackÕ, ÔFatherÕs DayÕ and ÔFlubberÕ.
